Frame your credentials around U.S. technical standards
Molex evaluates technicians against specific manufacturing and quality benchmarks. Before applying, map your certifications and hands-on experience to U.S.-recognized standards like IPC or OSHA so your resume reads as immediately qualified, not a translation project.
Target Molex facilities with active technical hiring
Molex operates multiple U.S. manufacturing sites, and sponsorship activity is concentrated where technical headcount is growing. Search by location in your application to find sites with open Technician requisitions rather than applying to the company broadly.
Clarify OPT authorization before your first interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm that your degree field qualifies as STEM-related under DOL guidelines. Molex sponsors OPT for technical roles, but mismatched classification between your degree and the job description can delay or block your work authorization.
Understand the H-1B timeline specific to technician filings
H-1B petitions for technician roles require the employer to demonstrate specialty occupation status, which can attract additional USCIS scrutiny. Align your start date expectations with the April filing window and a potential October 1 start, and have your degree equivalency documentation ready in advance.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Technician openings at Molex
Sorting through general job boards makes it hard to identify which postings are genuinely open to visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate lets you filter Molex's Technician listings by visa type so you can focus only on roles that match your authorization status.
Negotiate your offer timeline around PERM or I-140 filing
If you're targeting an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathway through Molex, the PERM labor certification process begins after you've accepted an offer. Ask your recruiter early whether the role is eligible for employer-sponsored permanent residency so that process can start without delay.

Find Technician at Molex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Technician roles. Because technician positions must meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, your application will be stronger when supported by a relevant bachelor's degree or a documented combination of education and specialized experience. Your employer's legal team will file the petition, but preparing your credentials documentation in advance reduces delays.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Molex?
Apply directly through Molex's careers portal, where Technician roles are listed by location and function. To identify which openings are actively accepting candidates who need visa sponsorship, browse Migrate Mate's filtered listings for Molex Technician jobs. Once you identify a match, apply through the official portal and indicate your visa status clearly during the screening process.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Technician roles?
Molex sponsors several visa categories for Technician positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical occupations under USMCA. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used for recent graduates transitioning from academic programs into hands-on technical roles at the company.
What qualifications does Molex expect from Technician candidates seeking sponsorship?
Molex typically looks for candidates with relevant technical training or a bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, materials science, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, quality systems, or lab equipment is valued. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, so your degree field should align directly with the technical responsibilities in the job description.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Technician role at Molex?
Timeline depends on visa type. F-1 OPT authorization can be in place within a few months of graduation. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the border on the day of travel. H-1B petitions are tied to the annual lottery, with an April filing window and an October 1 start date at the earliest. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification add significantly more time, often two or more years depending on your country of birth.
