Align your background with connector applications
Molex's Sales Business Development roles in Fashion & Apparel focus on wearable tech, smart textiles, and embedded electronics. Frame your experience around solutions selling into manufacturing or product development environments, not generic B2B sales.
Verify your OPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorized work period covers the full onboarding window. Molex's hiring cycles can run eight to twelve weeks, and a tight OPT window creates risk before an H-1B cap-subject petition can be filed.
Target roles posted before February for H-1B filing
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year. Securing an offer and completing the Labor Condition Application with DOL before that window gives Molex's HR team time to prepare your petition without rushing the process.
Ask directly about PERM during offer negotiation
Molex sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for experienced Sales Business Development hires. Raise the PERM labor certification process during final offer discussions so both parties understand the timeline commitment before you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Sales Business Development roles at Molex by visa type
Migrate Mate lets you browse current Molex openings filtered by sponsorship category, so you can target positions where your visa type is already supported rather than guessing from a generic job listing.
Prepare a clear specialty occupation narrative for your role
USCIS scrutinizes Sales Business Development petitions under H-1B specialty occupation standards. Document how your degree in engineering, business, or a technical field directly underpins the client-facing technical responsibilities in the specific Molex role.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Business Developments?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Business Development roles. Because these positions involve technical sales in specialized product categories like connectors and electronic components, they typically meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria when the role requires a degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Your petition will need a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before filing.
How do I apply for Sales Business Development jobs at Molex?
You can search for open Sales Business Development roles directly through Molex's careers portal or browse current listings filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight technical sales experience relevant to Molex's product lines, including any background in wearable technology, smart textiles, or industrial electronics that connects to the Fashion & Apparel segment.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Sales Business Development roles?
Molex sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Sales Business Development positions. H-1B is the most common route for full-time hires who need long-term work authorization. TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA professional categories. OPT and CPT cover candidates still in post-graduation work authorization periods.
What qualifications does Molex expect for Sales Business Development roles?
Molex typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a technical discipline, combined with experience in solutions selling or account development. For roles supporting Fashion & Apparel clients, familiarity with product development cycles, smart wearables, or electronic component integration strengthens your profile considerably. Prior experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in a manufacturing or technology environment is a practical differentiator.
How do I handle the H-1B cap timeline when targeting a role at Molex?
The H-1B cap registration opens in March each year and USCIS selects petitions by lottery shortly after. You need an offer in place before registration opens so Molex can file on your behalf. If you miss the annual cap, cap-exempt employment or extending OPT through STEM extension are interim options while you wait for the next registration cycle.
