Frame your portfolio around supply chain complexity
Molex's Fashion & Apparel work involves multi-tier supplier networks. Before applying, restructure your resume to highlight project timelines you managed across global vendors, not just internal milestones. Consular officers and USCIS reviewers look for specialty occupation evidence tied to the specific role.
Target Molex openings before H-1B registration closes
H-1B registration typically opens in March for an October start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, approach Molex recruiters in Q4 of the prior year so your offer letter and I-129 paperwork can be filed without a gap in your authorized stay.
Confirm your degree aligns with the posted specialty occupation
Molex files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL specifying the degree field required. For Project Development Manager roles, a degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, or business is typically expected. A degree outside that cluster without relevant coursework can trigger a USCIS Request for Evidence.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Project Development Manager roles at Molex
Molex posts roles across multiple locations and business units simultaneously. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Molex Project Development Manager positions that have active visa sponsorship, so you're not manually sifting through listings that won't support your status.
Ask the recruiter about PERM eligibility during the offer stage
Molex sponsors both H-1B and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. If permanent residence is your goal, ask during offer negotiation whether PERM recruitment has been initiated. Companies in manufacturing-adjacent industries often start PERM early when filling hard-to-staff project management roles.
Understand TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status covers certain management and engineering functions and does not require a lottery. If your Project Development Manager role at Molex maps to an eligible TN category, you can start in as little as a few weeks, bypassing the H-1B wait entirely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Molex sponsor H-1B visas for Project Development Managers?
Yes, Molex sponsors H-1B visas for Project Development Manager roles. The company files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL and submits I-129 petitions through USCIS on behalf of qualifying candidates. Because H-1B approvals depend on the annual lottery, timing your application and securing an offer before the March registration window is critical if you're targeting this pathway.
Which visa types does Molex commonly use for Project Development Manager roles?
Molex sponsors a range of visa categories for this function, including H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your citizenship, current immigration status, and career timeline. TN visa is available without a lottery for eligible Canadian and Mexican citizens, while EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings support long-term permanent residence goals.
What qualifications does Molex expect for Project Development Manager positions?
Molex typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related business discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing complex product development cycles. In the Fashion & Apparel space, familiarity with multi-tier vendor coordination, materials sourcing, and cross-functional program delivery tends to differentiate strong applicants from those with only general project management backgrounds.
How do I apply for Project Development Manager jobs at Molex?
You can browse open Project Development Manager positions at Molex directly through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm the role supports your status before applying. Once you identify a match, apply through Molex's careers portal and be upfront about your visa requirements early in the recruiter conversation to avoid delays at the offer stage.
How do I manage my timeline if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting Molex?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your authorized work period is limited. STEM OPT extensions give eligible graduates up to 24 additional months, but your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify, which Molex is. To bridge to H-1B status without a gap, you'll need an offer secured before the March H-1B registration window and a timely I-129 filing for an October 1 start date.
