INTRODUCTION
Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
ABOUT THE JOB
Auth0 is an easy-to-implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. We make applications’ login boxes safe, secure, and seamless for anyone logging in.
As a Developer Platform Partner (DPP) Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, building and maintaining strong relationships, taking those partnerships from 0-1 with product, and co-marketing campaigns with leading developer platforms like Vercel, Netlify, Replit, Lovable, Cloudflare and others. You will help ensure Auth0 shows up in the ecosystems where developers already work and learn, by driving joint campaigns, integrations, and events.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Startups and Marketing teams, as well as with external partner teams. This role is ideal for someone who deeply understands the AI dev tools landscape, thrives on building successful partnerships, and is passionate about creating technical marketing that resonates with developers and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, source, and cold-outreach high-potential developer platform partners (Replit, Lovable, Vercel, Bolt, Builder.io) and serve as their primary point of contact for all Developer Marketing activities at Auth0.
- Evaluate how prospective partners fit our integration ecosystem and strategize how the partnership drives developer signups and activation.
- Influence internally and externally without formal authority — advocating for partner work to be prioritized on the product roadmap, while simultaneously getting partners to prioritize Auth0 in their own ecosystems.
- Lead co-marketing campaigns with Dev Partners (e.g., Vercel, Replit, Lovable, Bolt, Builder.io), including designing campaigns from 0-1, executing end-to-end, and tracking success.
- Drive event presence with partners, including hackathons, conferences, webinars, demo nights, and third-party events.
- Collaborate with Product and Advocacy teams to translate technical integrations into compelling developer narratives (blogs, landing pages, videos).
- Align with Demand Gen to ensure developer-first positioning in enterprise campaigns.
- Track KPIs such as signups, activations, and engagement to measure ROI and optimize campaigns.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in partner marketing, developer marketing, or a technical product role with a partnership component.
- Demonstrated ability to source and close cold partnerships — not just manage warm inbound relationships.
- Strong cross-functional influence skills; comfortable driving prioritization decisions with product teams and external partners without formal authority.
- Technical fluency sufficient to evaluate integration complexity, understand product roadmap tradeoffs, and assess what a partnership requires to go live.
- Proven success running joint go-to-market campaigns with external partners, ideally in developer tools, SaaS, or startup ecosystems.
- Strong storytelling ability to translate technical features into developer-first value propositions.
- Experience supporting event marketing (meetups, hackathons, conference sponsorships).
- Data-driven mindset with experience measuring campaign performance and iterating.
- Deep understanding of how developers discover, evaluate, and adopt new tools.
Preferred:
- Hands-on familiarity with the modern AI developer tooling ecosystem — platforms like Vercel, Replit, Lovable, Bolt, Builder.io, and similar. Understands these communities from the inside, not just as a marketer.
- Experience with AI-native or vibe-coding platforms (V0, Lovable, Cursor, or similar).
- Prior experience in a fast-paced environment (startup, SaaS, or open-source ecosystem).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Frame your portfolio around security narratives
Okta's Communications team regularly translates complex identity and cybersecurity topics for enterprise audiences. Tailor your writing samples and campaign work to show you can simplify technical subject matter without losing accuracy.
Confirm OPT STEM extension eligibility early
Communications roles at Okta often sit within a technology company's organizational structure, but the SOC code tied to your specific job title determines STEM OPT eligibility. Verify your offer letter's job classification before assuming a 24-month extension applies.
Target roles with cross-functional scope
Okta's Communications openings frequently require collaboration with product, legal, and security teams. Positions with broader cross-functional mandates tend to carry clearer specialty occupation documentation, which strengthens an H-1B petition's specialty occupation argument.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, map your offer timeline so your employer can file a cap-subject petition before your work authorization expires.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Communications roles
Filtering by visa type and role function saves significant time in your search. Migrate Mate lets you browse verified Communications openings at Okta and similar technology companies that have confirmed sponsorship history.
Request the LCA details before signing your offer
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Ask your recruiter to confirm the prevailing wage level and worksite location listed on the LCA matches your actual role and location.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Okta sponsor H-1B visas for Communications roles?
Yes, Okta sponsors H-1B visas for Communications positions. The company has an active sponsorship track record across its technology and corporate functions. Communications roles involving strategic messaging, PR, or content for enterprise security products typically meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B approval.
How do I apply for Communications jobs at Okta?
Applications go through Okta's careers page, where you can filter by function. Migrate Mate also lists verified Communications openings at Okta with sponsorship details, so you can confirm visa support before applying. Tailor your materials to Okta's identity security focus and include samples that show enterprise or B2B communications experience.
Which visa types are commonly used for Communications roles at Okta?
H-1B is the most common pathway for full-time Communications hires at Okta. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for candidates completing U.S. degrees, and TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Okta also supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications for longer-term employees.
What qualifications does Okta expect for Communications positions?
Most Communications roles at Okta require a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field. Enterprise or B2B technology experience is a strong differentiator, particularly if you've worked on security, SaaS, or identity-related narratives. Internal communications roles often require experience managing communications programs at scale across distributed teams.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Communications role at Okta?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 60-day grace period begins when employment ends, not when you start applying. For H-1B cap-subject petitions, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Build your job search timeline backward from those dates, and confirm your target employer can file before your current work authorization lapses.
