Frame your credentials around logistics operations
Ryder's Supply Chain Manager roles sit inside an asset-heavy logistics business, not a pure consulting practice. Translate your experience into operational terms like fleet coordination, distribution network optimization, or 3PL management before you apply.
Target roles tied to existing client accounts
Ryder embeds supply chain managers inside long-term client accounts, often in manufacturing and retail sectors. Roles attached to established accounts are more likely to have headcount approval and budget, which makes sponsorship authorization faster.
Clarify your visa timeline before the offer stage
If your H-1B is employer-tied, confirm whether Ryder will file a transfer or an H-1B cap-exempt amendment early. Waiting until the offer letter to surface this creates delays, and Ryder's HR teams handle volume hiring for this role category.
Align your degree to specialty occupation standards
USCIS evaluates Supply Chain Manager petitions against specialty occupation criteria. A degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations research creates a clean credential match and reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence on qualification grounds.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active sponsorship openings
Ryder posts Supply Chain Manager roles across multiple locations and divisions. Use Migrate Mate to filter for positions where Ryder has an active sponsorship history for this function, so you're not spending time on postings that won't support a visa filing.
Understand how PERM timing affects permanent residence
If Ryder offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process through DOL begins after you've been hired and passed probationary benchmarks. Negotiate the sponsorship commitment in writing before your start date, not after your first performance review.

Find Supply Chain Manager at Ryder System JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ryder System sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chain Managers?
Yes, Ryder System sponsors H-1B visas for Supply Chain Manager roles. Supply chain and logistics operations are core functions at Ryder, and the company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for this role category. Sponsorship is more common for roles tied to established client accounts or national operations rather than short-term project work.
Which visa types does Ryder System use for Supply Chain Manager roles?
Ryder sponsors both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories for Supply Chain Managers. On the nonimmigrant side, H-1B is the primary pathway. For permanent residence, Ryder has used EB-2 and EB-3 classifications, which require a PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. The pathway offered typically depends on your qualifications and tenure.
What qualifications does Ryder System expect for Supply Chain Manager roles?
Ryder typically looks for a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field, combined with several years of hands-on operations experience. Familiarity with 3PL environments, transportation management systems, and client-facing logistics delivery is valued. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, your degree field needs to align directly with the job duties USCIS will evaluate.
How do I apply for Supply Chain Manager jobs at Ryder System?
You can browse and apply for Supply Chain Manager openings at Ryder through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where Ryder has sponsored visas for this function. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect logistics operations and client account management experience. Raise your visa sponsorship needs directly with the recruiter early in the process, before any offer discussion begins.
How do I plan my timeline if Ryder is sponsoring my H-1B?
If you're transferring an existing H-1B, you can start work at Ryder once USCIS receives the transfer petition, without waiting for approval. If you need a new H-1B cap subject filing, that runs through the April lottery with an October 1 start date at the earliest. Build your job search timeline around those windows, and confirm Ryder's internal sponsorship approval process with your recruiter before signing.
