Align your credentials to FQHC standards
Sun River Health operates as a federally qualified health center, so hiring managers expect Care Managers to hold licensure or certification recognized in New York State, such as LCSW, RN, or CCM. Confirm your credentials meet state requirements before applying.
Research Sun River's care coordination model
Sun River Health runs integrated behavioral and primary care programs. Tailor your application to reflect experience with care transitions, chronic disease management, or patient navigation in community health settings, since generic hospital experience reads differently to their hiring team.
Use Migrate Mate to target open Care Manager roles
Sun River Health lists Care Manager openings across multiple clinic sites with variable start dates. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Sun River Health positions that match your visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Document clinical hours for green card eligibility
EB-3 sponsorship for Care Manager roles requires demonstrating that your experience meets the position's minimum qualifications. Keep detailed records of supervised clinical hours, case volumes, and population types served, since DOL's PERM audit process may require this documentation.

Does Sun River Health sponsor H-1B visas for Care Managers?
Sun River Health's documented sponsorship activity for Care Manager roles focuses on EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. H-1B sponsorship is not prominently reflected in their recent hiring pattern for this role, so if you're relying on H-1B status, confirm directly with their HR team whether they plan to file for the next cap cycle.
Which visa types are commonly used for Care Manager roles at Sun River Health?
Care Managers at Sun River Health most commonly come through F-1 OPT or CPT for recent graduates, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations like nursing or social work, and EB-2 or EB-3 for candidates seeking permanent residency pathways. The right fit depends on your nationality, credential type, and how quickly you need work authorization in place.
What qualifications and experience does Sun River Health expect for Care Manager roles?
Sun River Health typically looks for candidates with a clinical or social services background, including licensure such as LCSW, RN, or equivalent certification in New York State. Experience in care coordination, chronic disease management, or patient navigation in a community health or FQHC setting strengthens your candidacy significantly. Bilingual ability, particularly in Spanish, is frequently listed as a preference across their clinic locations.
How do I apply for Care Manager jobs at Sun River Health?
Browse current Care Manager openings at Sun River Health through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, clearly state your visa status and intended sponsorship pathway in your cover letter. Sun River Health has multiple clinic sites across the Hudson Valley and New York City area, so specify your preferred location to improve response rates.
How do I plan around the timeline for visa sponsorship at Sun River Health?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa type. F-1 OPT can authorize you to work within weeks of an employer filing an EAD application.
