Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Nursing Jobs at Texas Health Resources Jobs
Get Your Credentials Evaluated Before Applying
Texas Health Resources requires state licensure, so submit your nursing credentials to a CGFNS-approved evaluation service early. Texas Board of Nursing processing can take months, and your application stalls without an active RN license or endorsement.
Target High-Turnover Units in Your Applications
Acute care, med-surg, and ICU units at large health systems like Texas Health Resources see consistent openings. Filtering your search by specialty rather than browsing all nursing roles puts you in front of hiring managers with the most urgent need.
Ask Recruiters Directly About Their Immigration Counsel
Health systems that sponsor EB-3 nurses typically work with dedicated immigration attorneys. Confirming this early tells you whether sponsorship is a standard process or a case-by-case exception, which affects how you negotiate your offer timeline.
Understand the EB-3 PERM Timeline Before Accepting an Offer
PERM labor certification through DOL can take a year or more before USCIS even receives your I-140. If you're outside the U.S., factor this into your planning so you're not waiting on a green card timeline you didn't anticipate.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsoring Nursing Employers
Searching broadly wastes time on employers who won't sponsor. Use Migrate Mate to filter nursing roles specifically at companies with H-1B or Green Card sponsorship history, so every application you submit is already screened for visa viability.
Verify H-1B Filing Deadlines Align With Your Start Date
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an April filing window with an October 1 start date. If Texas Health Resources submits your petition, confirm the lottery registration timeline with HR so your expected start date doesn't fall outside the valid employment period.

Find Nursing at Texas Health Resources JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Texas Health Resources sponsor H-1B visas for Nurses?
Yes, Texas Health Resources has sponsored H-1B visas for nursing roles. Large hospital systems in Texas commonly use H-1B sponsorship to fill specialty and acute care nursing positions. If you're targeting a role there, confirm sponsorship availability directly with their HR or talent acquisition team during the early stages of the interview process, as sponsorship decisions can vary by unit and role type.
Which visa types does Texas Health Resources use for Nursing roles?
Texas Health Resources has used both H-1B and employment-based immigrant visa pathways, including EB-2 and EB-3, for nursing hires. EB-3 is the most common route for registered nurses pursuing a Green Card, as the PERM labor certification process applies to most staff-level RN positions. H-1B can serve as a bridge while the permanent residency process runs concurrently.
What qualifications does Texas Health Resources expect for sponsored Nursing positions?
You'll need an active Texas RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and in most cases at least one year of clinical experience in the relevant specialty. Foreign-educated nurses typically need a CGFNS credential evaluation and must pass the NCLEX-RN. Specialty certifications in areas like critical care or emergency nursing strengthen applications for competitive units.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at Texas Health Resources?
You can browse and apply for nursing roles directly through Texas Health Resources' careers portal. For a filtered view that shows only employers with verified visa sponsorship history, Migrate Mate lets you search nursing positions at companies like Texas Health Resources alongside their sponsorship track record. Apply early in each hiring cycle since acute care units often close postings quickly once they have enough qualified candidates.
How do I plan my timeline if Texas Health Resources sponsors my Green Card?
EB-3 PERM cases filed through DOL can take 12 to 24 months before the I-140 stage, and visa availability for certain nationalities adds further wait time. Start the conversation about sponsorship during offer negotiations, not after you've accepted. Confirm whether the employer's immigration counsel will begin PERM concurrently with your H-1B so you're not restarting the clock later.
