Frame Your Credentials Around Specialty Occupation Standards
Partnership Development Manager roles at Westwood must qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B rules. Align your resume and degree documentation to show a direct connection between your field of study and the business development or consulting function you'd be performing.
Target Westwood's Active Consulting Practice Areas
Westwood staffs Partnership Development Managers across multiple consulting verticals. Research which practice areas are actively expanding and tailor your outreach accordingly. A targeted application to a high-growth practice signals you understand the business, not just the job title.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before the Offer Stage
Consulting firms sometimes distinguish between roles eligible for H-1B sponsorship and those earmarked for internal mobility. Ask directly during the final interview round whether the specific role supports sponsorship, so there are no surprises when the offer letter arrives.
Understand How TN Status Applies to This Role
Canadian and Mexican nationals should confirm whether the Partnership Development Manager position qualifies under a recognized TN profession category. The DOL's USMCA profession list is the definitive reference. Not all business development titles map cleanly to a qualifying category.
Account for LCA Filing Time in Your Start Date Planning
Before Westwood can file your H-1B petition with USCIS, they must get a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL. That step typically adds two to four weeks to the timeline. Build that window into any start date you negotiate.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Roles Before They Close
Partnership Development Manager openings at consulting firms fill quickly and sponsorship-eligible postings don't stay active long. Search Migrate Mate to filter Westwood's open roles by visa type so you're applying to confirmed sponsorship positions, not guessing from a generic job board.

Does Westwood Professional Services sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Westwood Professional Services sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles including Partnership Development Manager positions. The role must meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, which requires a direct relationship between the duties performed and a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Confirming this fit early in the process, before the offer stage, helps avoid delays once hiring decisions are made.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Westwood Professional Services?
You can browse current Partnership Development Manager openings at Westwood Professional Services through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through Westwood's careers portal and be upfront about your visa status in your cover materials. Consulting firms move quickly through hiring cycles, so a prompt, targeted application matters.
Which visa types does Westwood Professional Services commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Westwood sponsors multiple visa categories for this function, including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates still within their post-degree work authorization window. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways are also supported for longer-term employment. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree, and how far along you are in your authorization timeline.
What qualifications does Westwood Professional Services expect for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Westwood typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience building and managing client or partner relationships in a professional services context. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, your degree must correspond directly to the role's duties. Consulting sector experience, particularly in client-facing or revenue-generating functions, strengthens both your application and your sponsorship case.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a role at Westwood Professional Services?
The timeline depends on the visa type. H-1B sponsorship through the annual lottery requires registration in March for an October 1 start date, so plan at least six months ahead. TN status for Canadian nationals can be processed at the border with the right documentation. F-1 OPT allows you to start while the H-1B is pending. USCIS premium processing is available for H-1B petitions if faster adjudication is needed.
