At WHOOP, we’re on a mission to unlock human performance. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. As a CapEx Program Manager on the Technical Program Management (TPM) team at WHOOP, you’ll play a key role in scaling our global manufacturing capabilities by turning capital investments into high-impact production infrastructure. You’ll lead capital planning and execution across the full product lifecycle, partnering with engineering, operations, and finance to deliver the equipment, processes, and readiness needed to support both new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement (CI) engineering. This role calls for a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of product development and factory operations, with a track record of managing risk, aligning stakeholders, and driving high-velocity execution in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the full CapEx lifecycle, from early scoping through procurement, installation, validation, and mass production readiness.
- Drive capital planning and execution for NPI and CI programs, ensuring factory readiness through budget, schedule, and CapEx management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and finance to align equipment requirements with program goals, ensure investment feasibility, and remove roadblocks.
- Develop, track, and manage capital budgets, including detailed financial modeling of capital expenditures; maintain forecast accuracy and partner closely with the finance team on reviews, audits, and reporting.
- Oversee equipment sourcing, vendor coordination, and deployment to meet critical manufacturing and quality milestones.
- Build and maintain long-range equipment and infrastructure roadmaps to support WHOOP’s scaling needs and product evolution.
- Embed CapEx planning early in the product development process, enabling design and manufacturing teams to balance innovation with cost and operational feasibility.
- Define and improve processes and tools for CapEx forecasting, tracking, and analysis; use data to inform investment decisions and improve efficiency.
- Anticipate risks and drive mitigation efforts to ensure successful, on-time execution of capital programs.
- Support global manufacturing sites with international travel as needed (up to 20%).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in CapEx program management, manufacturing operations, or supply chain, ideally in a high-growth consumer electronics or hardware environment.
- Demonstrated success leading end-to-end capital projects from planning and procurement through equipment validation and production ramp.
- Expertise in capital budgeting, procurement strategy, and financial controls, with experience managing multi-million dollar investments.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs across cross-functional teams, vendors, and international manufacturing partners.
- A highly organized, analytical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving and a talent for breaking down complex challenges into actionable plans.
- Known for exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality in execution and communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator, able to present technical and financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrable skill in Excel/Google Sheets for analysis and forecasting, and experienced with tools such as Google Slides, Slack, and SmartSheets to manage and communicate team progress.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Interested in the role but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply! At WHOOP, we believe there’s more to a candidate than what’s on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we welcome all applicants.

COMPENSATION
The WHOOP compensation philosophy is designed to attract, motivate, and retain exceptional talent by offering competitive base salaries, meaningful equity, and consistent pay practices that reflect our mission and core values. At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$165,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package. These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

Frame your PM credentials around research operations
Whoop sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and human performance research. Tailor your resume to show program management experience in technically complex, data-driven environments rather than generic project delivery backgrounds.
Time your application around H-1B cap season
If you need H-1B sponsorship, target Whoop's open roles in January and February so an offer and USCIS filing can align with the April 1 cap-subject registration window. Missing that window means waiting a full year.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Program Manager roles
Whoop posts Program Manager openings across multiple product and research tracks. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Whoop that match your visa type, so you're targeting positions the company is actively staffing rather than cold-applying.
Ask about LCA filing scope during offer negotiation
Before signing, confirm that the Labor Condition Application your employer files with DOL covers your actual work location. Whoop operates across hybrid arrangements, and LCA scope tied to the wrong worksite can create compliance issues after you start.
Prepare documentation that connects your degree to the role
H-1B specialty occupation requires a direct link between your field of study and the Program Manager position. Gather transcripts, a degree equivalency evaluation if needed, and role-specific job descriptions that explicitly reference your degree field.

Does Whoop sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Whoop sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has a consistent record of filing H-1B petitions for this function, which reflects its broader approach to international hiring in technical and research-oriented positions. If you're targeting an H-1B, factor in the annual cap registration window and build your timeline accordingly.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Whoop?
You can browse open Program Manager positions on Whoop's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Whoop roles that align with your visa type. When applying, tailor your application to Whoop's health technology and research focus. Roles span product, research operations, and cross-functional program delivery, so read each job description carefully before applying.
Which visa types does Whoop commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Whoop sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Program Managers. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while the H-1B is the standard long-term path. TN sponsorship is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupations, which Program Manager roles can satisfy depending on your degree field.
What qualifications does Whoop look for in Program Manager candidates?
Whoop's Program Manager roles typically require experience managing technically complex, cross-functional initiatives. Given the company's science and research context, backgrounds in health technology, product operations, or research program management carry weight. Strong candidates usually have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering and research teams, and familiarity with data-driven product development cycles.
How do I plan my timeline for a sponsored Program Manager role at Whoop?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, start your job search in late fall so you can secure an offer by February or March and meet the April USCIS registration window. OPT candidates should track their authorization end date against Whoop's typical hiring timeline of several weeks from offer to start. If your OPT is expiring soon, ask the recruiter about cap-gap coverage eligibility early in the process.
