Align your credentials to retail operations
Chewy's Program Manager roles often sit at the intersection of logistics, merchandising, and technology. Frame your resume around cross-functional project delivery in retail or e-commerce contexts, not just general project management, before you apply.
Target roles with LCA filings already active
Chewy posts Program Manager openings across multiple business units. Search DOL's FLAG system for active Labor Condition Applications tied to this job title to confirm which hiring areas are currently authorized to sponsor, then prioritize those postings.
Clarify sponsorship scope before the offer stage
Some Chewy teams distinguish between cap-subject H-1B petitions and cap-exempt transfers. Ask your recruiter during interviews whether the role is new headcount or a transfer, since this determines your USCIS filing timeline and start date.
Document your OPT or CPT authorization thoroughly
If you're on F-1 OPT, ensure your employment authorization covers program management as a specialty occupation matching your degree field. Chewy's HR teams will verify this through E-Verify, so mismatches between your role title and degree can delay onboarding.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Program Manager roles
Chewy lists Program Manager positions across several verticals simultaneously, which makes it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track Chewy's visa-sponsoring Program Manager jobs in one place so you're applying to the right postings consistently.

Does Chewy sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Chewy sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company has a consistent record of filing H-1B petitions for this function across its retail and e-commerce operations. Program management typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, which supports eligibility. Confirm sponsorship availability with your recruiter early in the process, as it can vary by team and headcount type.
Which visa types does Chewy commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Chewy sponsors H-1B visas for full-time Program Managers and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students entering the role. For candidates on TN status, qualifying program management work under NAFTA-successor categories may apply depending on citizenship and job duties. Chewy also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-tenured employees, typically through PERM labor certification filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does Chewy expect for Program Manager roles?
Chewy generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs. For senior-level postings, experience in supply chain, fulfillment, or retail technology is often preferred. PMP certification is valued but not universally required. Candidates targeting H-1B sponsorship should ensure their degree field connects directly to the program management specialty occupation definition.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Chewy?
You can browse and apply for Program Manager positions at Chewy through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship history. Chewy posts openings across business units including supply chain, technology, and customer experience, so specifying your area of expertise in your application improves fit. Tailor your resume to reflect cross-functional project delivery in retail or operational contexts before submitting.
How do I plan my visa timeline when targeting a Program Manager role at Chewy?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, Chewy must file your petition before the April 1 cap deadline for an October 1 start date, which means you should secure your offer by February at the latest. For F-1 OPT extensions under STEM, apply to USCIS at least 90 days before your current authorization expires. For Green Card pathways, PERM labor certification alone can take 12 to 24 months, so align expectations with your hiring manager before accepting an offer.
