Compliance Associate Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance associate in South Carolina?
Most compliance associate roles in South Carolina require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field. There is no single state-issued license for the role, but employers in healthcare strongly favor candidates familiar with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control regulations, while financial services employers value FINRA registration where applicable. Earning a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional credential improves competitiveness across most South Carolina industries.
Which companies hire compliance associates in South Carolina?
Employers hiring compliance associates in South Carolina right now include FirstService Residential, American Credit Acceptance, and Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. South Carolina's mix of large insurance carriers, global manufacturers, and regional healthcare networks creates consistent compliance hiring across Columbia, Greenville, and the greater Charleston area throughout the year.
Which South Carolina cities have the most compliance associate jobs?
Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston have the most compliance associate openings in South Carolina. Columbia dominates because it is home to BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and a concentration of state government agencies, while Greenville draws openings from Michelin and a growing financial services sector, and Charleston's expanding port-related logistics and healthcare industries generate additional demand.
Are there remote compliance associate jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and more than many fields, since much of the work involves document review, policy analysis, and regulatory reporting that can be done entirely at a desk. About 45% of compliance associate openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the analytical nature of the role. Policy review, audit support, and third-party vendor compliance monitoring are the functions most frequently offered remotely.
How can I get hired as a compliance associate in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a junior compliance analyst or compliance coordinator role at a South Carolina healthcare system or insurance carrier, where structured onboarding exists for candidates without direct compliance experience. BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Prisma Health periodically hire into associate-level compliance support roles. Moving laterally from audit, legal support, or risk operations positions is also common. Completing a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional examination before applying gives entry-level candidates a concrete credential that offsets limited work history.
Where can I find and apply to compliance associate jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to compliance associate jobs in South Carolina directly on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your background and location, and apply to them directly from the page.
