Compliance Associate Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance associate in Texas?
Most compliance associate roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. Texas does not have a single state-issued license for general compliance work, but industry-specific rules apply: insurance compliance professionals may need a Texas Department of Insurance authorization, while healthcare compliance roles often require familiarity with Texas Health & Safety Code requirements. Earning a recognized credential such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional designation strengthens candidacy significantly.
How much do compliance associates make in Texas?
Compliance associates in Texas earn a median of about $75,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,170 for the lowest 10% to over $126,920 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance associates in Texas?
Employers hiring compliance associates in Texas right now include Goldman Sachs, Oscar Management Corporation, and AmeriHome Mortgage Company, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of major financial institutions, energy companies, and large hospital systems means compliance hiring stays active across multiple industries throughout the year.
Which Texas cities have the most compliance associate jobs?
Dallas, Houston, and Austin have the most compliance associate openings in Texas. Houston's dominance in energy and financial services drives the largest share of postings, while Dallas attracts heavy volume from banking headquarters and insurance carriers, and Austin's expanding tech and fintech sector has added steadily to overall compliance hiring in recent years.
Are there remote compliance associate jobs in Texas?
Yes, and they are more common in compliance than in many other fields because much of the work involves document review, policy analysis, and system monitoring that translates well to remote settings. About 21% of compliance associate openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broad employer acceptance of flexible arrangements. Regulatory research, compliance reporting, and internal audit support are the functions most frequently offered on a remote basis.
How can I get hired as a compliance associate in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a compliance analyst or compliance coordinator role that accepts recent graduates. Large Texas employers such as major regional banks, health systems affiliated with the Texas Hospital Association, and energy firms often post new-grad or rotational compliance programs designed for candidates without direct experience. Lateral moves from adjacent roles in risk, legal operations, or internal audit are common. Completing a recognized certification course and building familiarity with Texas-specific regulatory bodies strengthens a candidate's application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to compliance associate jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to compliance associate jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across financial services, healthcare, energy, and other industries. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
