Compliance Associate Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance associate in Texas?
Most compliance associate roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. Texas does not mandate a state-issued license for general compliance work, but industry-specific credentials carry real weight: the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics is widely recognized by Texas employers. Those targeting healthcare employers often pursue certification aligned with HIPAA and Texas Health and Safety Code requirements.
Which companies hire compliance associates in Texas?
Employers hiring compliance associates in Texas right now include Goldman Sachs, Weaver, and JPMorganChase, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of major banks, energy companies, and large health systems creates consistent year-round demand for compliance professionals.
Which Texas cities have the most compliance associate jobs?
Dallas, Manor, and Plano have the most compliance associate openings in Texas. Houston's dominance reflects its role as the U.S. energy capital and a major banking hub, while Dallas draws heavy demand from financial services and insurance headquarters, and Austin's rapid growth in technology and state government agencies adds a distinct stream of regulatory and policy-focused compliance roles.
Are there remote compliance associate jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many comparable roles, since compliance work is largely desk-based, documentation-driven, and does not require a physical presence on a production floor or patient floor. About 20% of compliance associate openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the field. Policy review, regulatory reporting, and training development are the functions most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a compliance associate in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from an adjacent role such as paralegal, auditor, risk analyst, or regulatory affairs coordinator, all of which build transferable skills Texas compliance teams value. Large Texas employers including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America's Texas operations, and major health systems like HCA Healthcare run structured associate or analyst programs that accept candidates without direct compliance titles. Earning the CCEP Candidate designation or completing a compliance certificate program through a Texas university extension demonstrates commitment and closes the experience gap for many hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to compliance associate jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to compliance associate jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search by city or specialty to narrow the results to roles that fit your background, then apply directly to the positions that match your experience and target industry.
