Compliance Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance in Utah?
Most compliance roles in Utah require at least a bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related field, followed by relevant work experience in a regulated industry. While Utah does not issue a state-specific compliance license, employers strongly favor candidates who hold recognized credentials such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Healthcare compliance roles often expect additional credentials tied to the specific regulatory environment.
How much do compliances make in Utah?
Compliances in Utah earn a median of about $67,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $41,230 for the lowest 10% to over $120,520 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliances in Utah?
Companies currently hiring compliances in Utah include Goldman Sachs, Carta, and Ensign Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's concentration of financial services firms, large health systems, and enterprise technology companies makes it one of the more active states for compliance hiring outside major coastal markets.
Which Utah cities have the most compliance jobs?
Salt Lake City, Sandy, and Lehi account for the largest share of compliance openings in Utah. Salt Lake City drives most of the volume as home to major financial institutions, corporate headquarters, and health system administrative offices, while Provo benefits from the density of tech employers along the Wasatch Front, and Ogden draws openings from manufacturing, logistics, and regional banking operations.
Are there remote compliance jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. Compliance is largely a desk-based, analytical discipline, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 61% of compliance openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in financial services and technology have adopted flexible work policies. Roles focused on policy review, regulatory reporting, and compliance monitoring are the most likely to be fully remote.
How can I get hired as a compliance in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a compliance coordinator or compliance analyst associate role from an adjacent position in operations, legal support, audit, or risk management. Large Utah employers such as Intermountain Health and regional banks often post compliance trainee or rotational program roles designed for candidates without dedicated compliance experience. Earning the CCEP candidate credential or completing relevant coursework through a Utah university program signals commitment and gives candidates a clear edge over others at the same experience level.
Where can I find and apply to compliance jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to compliance jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings across industries including financial services, healthcare, and technology. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and credentials, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
