Tanner Industries Inc., a family-owned business and distributor of Ammonia Products, has an immediate full-time opening for a Quality, Regulatory & Compliance Manager. Operating out of our corporate office in Southampton, PA, this position plays a key role in maintaining our internal audit program, supporting regulatory compliance across EPA, DOT, and OSHA requirements, and assisting with our Responsible Distribution and quality management programs.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Audit Program
- Manage and facilitate Tanner Industries’ internal audit program
- Conduct biennial lab audits, supplier audits/verifications, and other scheduled internal and external audits
- Prepare for and represent Tanner Industries at quality and regulatory audits
- Track audit findings and support corrective action follow-through
Responsible Distribution
- Support and coordinate Tanner Industries’ Responsible Distribution (RD) programs
- Assist with Code Coordinator responsibilities, reverifications, and code updates
- Conduct annual RD audits
Regulatory Affairs Support
- Support regulatory compliance with applicable government regulations including EPA, DOT, and OSHA requirements
- Assist with filing Tier II reports, Form R reports, and Risk Management Plans (RMPs)
- Assist with DOT registrations, licenses, and state tank registrations
- Help maintain the regulatory compliance calendar and track filing deadlines
Quality Management Support
- Support Tanner Industries’ quality management programs, including supplier and lab verifications
- Assist with customer quality assurance questionnaires and documentation requests
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM) programs as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in regulatory compliance, quality management, environmental health & safety, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage compliance documentation accurately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed for audits and other job functions
Preferred
- Familiarity with EPA, DOT, and/or OSHA regulatory requirements
- Experience conducting internal audits or quality management activities
- Knowledge of Responsible Distribution, Responsible Care programs or chemical industry quality/compliance programs a plus
- Experience with Hazardous materials or industrial chemical distribution a plus
