Compliance Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance manager in Georgia?
Most compliance managers in Georgia start with a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field, then build several years of experience in audit, legal, or regulatory roles. Georgia does not issue a state-specific license for compliance managers, but earning a recognized certification such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics significantly strengthens candidacy with Georgia employers, particularly in healthcare and financial services.
How much do compliance managers make in Georgia?
Compliance managers in Georgia earn a median of about $125,000 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,500 for the lowest 10% to over $212,160 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring compliance managers in Georgia right now include Intuit, DSV, and PPG, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of large hospital systems, financial technology firms, and logistics companies creates consistent compliance hiring across multiple industries throughout the state.
Which Georgia cities have the most compliance manager jobs?
Atlanta, Tucker, and Kennesaw have the most compliance manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates due to its dense concentration of financial institutions, health systems, and corporate headquarters, while Savannah's major port operations drive supply chain and trade compliance demand, and Augusta's growing healthcare and cybersecurity sectors generate steady openings in those specializations.
Are there remote compliance manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many fields, since compliance work is largely analytical and document-driven rather than hands-on. About 73% of compliance manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the profession. Policy review, regulatory reporting, and training development are the functions most commonly performed remotely, while on-site presence is typically required for audit walkthroughs and direct staff oversight.
How can I get hired as a compliance manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a compliance analyst or compliance coordinator role at a large Georgia employer and building toward management from within. Atlanta-area hospital systems such as Emory Healthcare and Piedmont Healthcare, along with major insurers headquartered in Georgia, regularly hire for entry-level compliance and regulatory affairs positions that do not require prior management experience. Lateral moves from audit, quality assurance, or legal operations roles are common. Earning the CCEP or completing a compliance certificate program gives candidates a measurable edge in the application process.
