A bit about us:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent position in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of law. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and will possess a strong skill set in proofreading and typing. You will be responsible for supporting our legal team by performing a variety of administrative tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and maintaining and organizing files. This role requires a high level of discretion, as you will frequently be dealing with confidential information.

Responsibilities:
1. Draft and proofread legal documents, ensuring they are accurate, properly formatted, and adhere to all applicable legal standards and regulations.
2. Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, and organize travel arrangements for attorneys and other legal staff.
3. Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all important case documents are easily accessible.
4. Conduct legal research as requested, summarizing and reporting findings to attorneys.
5. Handle incoming and outgoing communication, including phone calls, emails, and traditional mail.
6. Assist with the preparation of court filings and ensure they are submitted on time.
7. Provide general administrative support, such as typing documents, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or similar role.
2. Proficient in proofreading, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
3. Excellent typing skills, with the ability to produce documents quickly and accurately.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
5. Knowledge of legal research techniques and databases.
6. Experience in drafting and formatting legal documents.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
10. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
