- Safe work practices around existing utilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Hand digging and exposing utilities
- Shoveling, raking, and backfilling
- Installing underground conduit and fiber pathways
- Assisting equipment operators
- Moving tools, materials, conduit, and equipment
- Restoring grass and disturbed areas
- Setting up and cleaning job sites
- Keeping trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment organized
- Following instructions from crew leaders and supervisors

You do not need fiber construction experience before you start.

Landscaping, excavation, construction, utility, irrigation, drainage, or telecommunications experience is a plus, but fiber experience is not required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to reliably commute to assigned job sites
- Must be willing and able to travel to different job sites as work locations change
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Able to perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working around construction equipment
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to follow company and job-site safety procedures
- Must be able to pass company-required screening
This is a field construction position. Work locations can change based on current projects, and employees are responsible for being able to report to their assigned job site on time.
