Content Marketing Manager Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a content marketing manager in Minnesota?
Most content marketing manager roles in Minnesota require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or journalism, followed by several years in content creation or digital marketing roles. There is no state-issued license for this profession in Minnesota. Employers here respond strongly to a portfolio showing SEO results, campaign performance, and editorial leadership, alongside familiarity with the industries that dominate the Twin Cities market, such as healthcare, financial services, and retail.
How much do content marketing managers make in Minnesota?
Content marketing managers in Minnesota earn a median of about $173,300 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $103,160 for the lowest 10% to over $303,350 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire content marketing managers in Minnesota?
Minnesota content marketing manager roles are posted by North Star Content Solutions and nVent and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's dense concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major healthcare systems, and national retail brands means consistent demand for in-house content talent year-round.
Which Minnesota cities have the most content marketing manager jobs?
Willmar, Brainerd, and Alexandria have the most content marketing manager openings in Minnesota. Minneapolis-Saint Paul drives the majority of demand, anchored by headquarters in healthcare, financial services, and retail, while Rochester and Bloomington add volume from large regional employers and corporate campuses that maintain dedicated marketing teams.
Are there remote content marketing manager jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of content marketing manager openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the work fits distributed teams. The most fully remote opportunities tend to be in SEO strategy, editorial management, and B2B content roles where output is measured by performance data rather than physical presence.
How can I get hired as a content marketing manager in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a coordinator or content specialist role at one of Minnesota's large employer types, including healthcare systems like Allina Health or Mayo Clinic's marketing division, retail organizations headquartered in the Twin Cities, or regional financial services firms. These employers regularly bring in candidates with strong writing portfolios, internship experience, or relevant agency work. Building demonstrable SEO or email marketing skills and a portfolio of published work closes the gap faster than additional credentials alone.
Where can I find and apply to content marketing manager jobs in Minnesota?
