Brand Marketing Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a brand marketing professional in Minnesota?
Most brand marketing roles in Minnesota require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or business. No state-issued license applies to the role. Minnesota employers, especially in consumer goods and retail, typically look for candidates who have completed relevant internships, built a portfolio of campaign work, and demonstrated measurable results. Pursuing certifications through recognized industry bodies such as the American Marketing Association can strengthen applications for competitive positions at larger Twin Cities employers.
Which companies hire brand marketings in Minnesota?
Employers hiring brand marketings in Minnesota right now include ZURU, Pervenio, and KWS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of major consumer brands and healthcare companies headquartered in the Twin Cities makes it one of the more active states for in-house brand marketing roles.
Which Minnesota cities have the most brand marketing jobs?
Plymouth, Eagan, and Blaine account for the most brand marketing openings in Minnesota. Minneapolis drives the bulk of demand as the headquarters location for major consumer goods and retail brands, while Saint Paul and surrounding suburbs add roles tied to healthcare, financial services, and regional organizations with established marketing functions.
Are there remote brand marketing jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of brand marketing openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and digital nature of the work. Strategy, content development, and campaign management roles are the most likely to offer remote or hybrid arrangements, while positions requiring regular collaboration with in-house creative teams tend to stay on-site.
How can I get hired as a brand marketing professional in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or coordinator role at one of the Twin Cities' consumer goods or retail headquarters, where companies like Target and General Mills run structured programs for early-career candidates. Adjacent roles in social media coordination, marketing operations, or communications assistant positions at Minnesota-based agencies or nonprofits also serve as common starting points. Building a portfolio of real or speculative campaign work and earning an American Marketing Association Professional Certified Marketer credential helps candidates stand out for competitive entry-level openings.
