Corporate Sales Manager Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a corporate sales manager in Rhode Island?
Most corporate sales managers in Rhode Island move into the role after building several years of experience as an individual contributor in B2B or enterprise sales. Rhode Island does not require a state-issued license for corporate sales management, so the path centers on demonstrated results, leadership experience, and a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Industries like financial services and healthcare technology are the most common entry points for management progression in the state.
How much do corporate sales managers make in Rhode Island?
Corporate sales managers in Rhode Island earn a median of about $154,970 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $90,910 for the lowest 10% to over $258,950 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire corporate sales managers in Rhode Island?
Companies currently hiring corporate sales managers in Rhode Island include CVS Health, Epic, and Jobot, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's concentration of financial services firms, healthcare organizations, and defense and manufacturing companies means corporate sales manager openings appear regularly across both Fortune 500 subsidiaries and mid-market regional employers headquartered in the Providence metro.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most corporate sales manager jobs?
Providence, Rhode Island, and Cumberland account for the largest share of corporate sales manager openings in Rhode Island. Providence drives volume as the state's commercial and corporate hub, home to major employers in healthcare, financial services, and professional services. Warwick and Cranston attract openings because large employers like Amica Mutual and regional distribution and manufacturing operations are based there, creating consistent demand for sales leadership outside the downtown core.
Are there remote corporate sales manager jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since corporate sales management is fundamentally a communication and strategy role that can run effectively without a fixed office. About 40% of corporate sales manager openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly this has been adopted across industries. The portions of the role most likely to stay remote are pipeline oversight, team coaching calls, and reporting, while key account visits and leadership meetings often require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a corporate sales manager in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building two to three years as a high-performing individual contributor in B2B sales, then moving into a team lead or assistant manager role before stepping into a full management title. Rhode Island employers in healthcare technology and financial services, including organizations connected to Lifespan, Care New England, and regional insurance carriers, regularly promote from within and hire associate sales managers. Completing a sales leadership certificate or earning a Certified Professional Sales Leader credential can distinguish a candidate without a long management history.
Where can I find and apply to corporate sales manager jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to corporate sales manager jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Providence, Warwick, and the broader state. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your background and target industry, and apply directly through the listing. No signup is needed to search and apply.
