Business Operations Manager (with regular collaboration with the Sales Manager and Company Leadership)
Position Summary:
Sugar ‘N Spice is seeking a motivated, technology-minded professional to join our growing team. This unique role combines business operations, business development, customer support and special projects. You’ll help strengthen our internal operations while helping identify and develop new business opportunities. We hire for attitude and aptitude and are looking for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems, building relationships and making a meaningful impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Operations (40%)
· Support the Business Operations Manager with day-to-day operations
· Learn and back up key office functions and business systems
· Maintain spreadsheets, pricing, reports and documentation
· Assist with labels, graphics, specifications and quality documentation
· Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
Business Development (40%)
· Manage and proactively utilize Keychain and RangeMe
· Research prospective retail, distributor, foodservice and private-label opportunities
· Coordinate samples and customer follow-up
· Prepare sales materials and presentations
· Track opportunities and support trade shows
Special Projects (20%)
· Marketing and website support
· New product launch coordination
· Cross-functional projects
· Other strategic initiatives that support company growth
Qualifications:
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Office
· Highly computer literate and able to quickly learn new software
· Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Comfortable communicating with customers and vendors
· Graphic design or label design experience is a plus but not required
· Manufacturing or food industry experience is helpful but not required
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
