Position Summary
DBIA seeks a Digital Marketing & Content Manager to develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns that expand the organization’s reach, increase audience engagement and support organizational priorities. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, creating and distributing compelling content across digital channels while collaborating with internal teams to promote DBIA programs, conferences and events, advocacy initiatives, educational resources, awards and member engagement.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and digital marketer who understands how to translate ideas into coordinated, multi-channel campaigns, analyze performance data and continually optimize content to achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns that support DBIA initiatives, conferences, educational programs, advocacy efforts, awards and membership engagement.
· Create, write, edit and distribute engaging content across social media platforms, email, web and other digital channels, tailoring messaging, visuals and calls to action for each platform.
· Repurpose existing content — including podcasts, webinars, articles, videos and events — into compelling digital assets that extend reach and audience engagement.
· Collaborate with communications, marketing, creative and video teams to develop effective campaigns and provide direction for visual and multimedia assets.
· Manage social media publishing, support real-time event coverage and engage with members, partners and industry stakeholders to strengthen DBIA's digital presence.
· Monitor industry trends, emerging platforms and audience conversations to identify opportunities for timely engagement and thought leadership.
· Measure campaign performance using analytics and reporting tools, applying insights to optimize content, improve engagement and support organizational goals.
· Apply SEO best practices, platform optimization techniques and paid social strategies to maximize the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts.
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while exercising sound judgment, meeting deadlines and working independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in digital marketing, content marketing, communications or social media management, preferably for a professional association, nonprofit or member-based organization.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful social media and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience with Google Analytics or other digital analytics platforms.
- Experience with social media management platforms such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite.
- Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and best practices.
- Experience with content management systems (WordPress preferred).
- Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact or Higher Logic/Real Magnet is preferred.
- Must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This hybrid position requires working in the Washington, DC office three days per week.
Salary range: Commensurate with experience
