The salary range for this role, based in Chicago or Dallas is $133,100.00 to $166,400.00. The range may vary if the role outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, National Accounts, Convenience Channel is responsible for building and executing Pernod Ricard USA's national convenience strategy across priority customers, primarily 7-Eleven, Casey's, Circle K and Maverik. The role owns the customer plan from opportunity identification through sell-in, distributor alignment, state activation, execution tracking and performance review. This leader will identify the brands, formats, price points and programs best suited to convenience shopper missions; develop scalable playbooks by customer, region and state; and establish a consistent operating rhythm with internal and external partners. The successful candidate will bring deep customer leadership, strong command of data, convenience channel knowledge and the ability to convert national agreements into measurable market execution that grows distribution, velocity, share and profitable sales.
Key Responsibilities
Develop annual customer strategies, joint business plans and market playbooks for priority national convenience accounts, with clear objectives, initiatives, measures and accountabilities.
Own senior-level customer relationships and lead customer calls, line reviews, business reviews, innovation meetings and programming discussions.
Build category-based selling stories using syndicated data, customer data, shopper insights, shipment trends and competitive activity to identify assortment, distribution, pricing, promotion and display opportunities.
Define the role of Pernod Ricard USA brands, sizes and formats within convenience, including opportunities across core spirits, small formats, ready-to-drink products, innovation and value-added packs, where permitted and relevant.
Translate customer agreements into state-by-state execution plans that account for local regulations, distributor structures, assortment requirements and market priorities.
Lead alignment with distributor chain teams and local selling organizations to ensure item setup, authorizations, sell-in, inventory, distribution and store-level execution are completed on time.
Partner closely with State Sales, Chain, Commercial Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Supply Chain and Insights teams to develop executable and financially sound customer plans.
Influence pricing, promotion and activation investments to support customer objectives while delivering profitable growth and effective use of resources.
Establish a monthly operating rhythm with key markets and distributors to review performance, execution gaps, upcoming priorities, risks and corrective actions.
Manage innovation and VAP commercialization from customer sell-in through item setup, forecast alignment, distribution and execution tracking.
Measure results through scorecards and post-program analysis; communicate insights, decisions and next steps to customer, state, distributor and division stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of progressive sales or customer management experience in beverage alcohol, consumer packaged goods or a related retail industry
Demonstrated convenience channel experience strongly preferred, including knowledge of national and regional account structures, shopper missions and store-level execution requirements
Proficiency with NIQ/Nielsen, customer POS, shipment or other consumer and retail data sources
Executive-level relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain alignment across customers and internal stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to convert strategy into execution through clear plans, operating rhythms, scorecards and follow-up
Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to evaluate pricing, promotion, investment and assortment decisions and translate analysis into action
Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
