We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with young children, is passionate about early childhood education, and is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences.
You will work collaboratively with our teaching team to provide quality care and education for preschool and toddler-aged children.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Provide attentive supervision and maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Create engaging learning experiences through play, exploration, music, art, stories, and hands-on activities.
- Support positive behavior, encourage independence, and help children develop social and emotional skills.
- Assist with daily classroom routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, handwashing, cleaning, and nap times.
- Observe children's development and communicate important updates with lead teachers and families.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Washington State DCYF childcare regulations.
- Work as part of a team and participate in staff meetings, required training, and professional development.
Classroom Responsibilities:
- Preschool classroom: Up to 9 children.
- Toddler classroom: Up to 7 children.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- DCYF background check clearance.
- DCYF MERIT account and STARS ID.
- 30-hour Child Care Basics training.
- Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification.
- Bloodborne Pathogens training.
- Current Food Worker Card (Food Handler's Permit).
- TB test documentation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 38 pounds.
- Ability to meet Washington State childcare licensing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or early learning environment.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
- Creativity, patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- A genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow.

Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday.
- Available Shifts:
- 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
- 11:30 AM–3:30 PM

- Expected Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week, depending on classroom needs and availability.
- Location: Blessed Baby Early Learning Center.
- Work Setting: On-site / In person.
Candidates living within approximately 10 miles of the center are preferred for scheduling reliability.
