Endoscopy Registered Nurse Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a endoscopy registered nurse in New York?
You become an endoscopy registered nurse in New York by first earning your RN license through the New York State Education Department, which requires completing an accredited nursing program and passing the NCLEX-RN exam. After licensure, most endoscopy positions in New York expect at least one year of clinical nursing experience, often in a surgical, procedural, or medical-surgical unit. Earning the Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse credential strengthens your candidacy for specialized GI and endoscopy roles.
How much do endoscopy registered nurses make in New York?
Endoscopy registered nurses in New York earn a median of about $109,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,760 for the lowest 10% to over $157,090 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire endoscopy registered nurses in New York?
Employers hiring endoscopy registered nurses in New York right now include NYU Langone Health, Arnot Health, and Cayuga Health, A Member of Centralus Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's large integrated health systems and the high density of ambulatory surgery centers in the metro area make this one of the more active states for ongoing endoscopy nursing recruitment.
Which New York cities have the most endoscopy registered nurse jobs?
The cities with the most endoscopy registered nurse openings in New York are Brooklyn, Ithaca, and Elmira. New York City dominates because of its concentration of major academic medical centers, high-volume GI practices, and freestanding ambulatory surgery centers, while Buffalo and Albany reflect the regional hospital systems and growing outpatient care networks that anchor upstate hiring.
Are there remote endoscopy registered nurse jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're rare. Endoscopy nursing is a hands-on procedural role that requires physical presence for patient care, sedation monitoring, and scope assistance, so fully remote positions are uncommon. About 0% of endoscopy registered nurse openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those tend to be administrative, care coordination, or clinical education roles adjacent to the bedside function.
How can I get hired as a endoscopy registered nurse in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing a new graduate nurse residency program and requesting a procedural or GI rotation within your first year. Large New York health systems such as Northwell Health and NYU Langone Health run structured nurse residency programs open to new NYSED licensees. Lateral moves from perioperative, PACU, or medical-surgical nursing are common stepping stones, and holding a current BLS certification alongside your active New York RN license gives candidates a competitive edge from day one.
Where can I find and apply to endoscopy registered nurse jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to endoscopy registered nurse jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated in real time.
