We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Area Director of Engineering to lead and oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational excellence of multiple facilities within a designated region. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise multiple facilities maintenance programs across the city, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures for mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, and low/high voltage equipment.
- Manage facilities maintenance management programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical systems, HVAC units, electrical panels, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial control systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Monitor facility performance metrics to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and system upgrades in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, HVAC system repair, electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage—and plumbing system maintenance.
