Epic Analyst Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a epic analyst in Ohio?
Becoming an epic analyst in Ohio starts with earning a bachelor's degree in health informatics, information systems, nursing informatics, or a related field, followed by obtaining Epic certification through employer-sponsored training at an Epic-credentialed organization. Ohio does not require a state-issued license for this role, but certification in a specific Epic module is a firm hiring requirement at virtually every Ohio health system. Candidates who gain hands-on build or go-live experience at a large Ohio hospital system are most competitive.
How much do epic analysts make in Ohio?
Epic analysts in Ohio earn a median of about $109,780 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $49,320 for the lowest 10% to over $161,520 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire epic analysts in Ohio?
Employers hiring epic analysts in Ohio right now include OhioHealth, University Hospitals, and Accenture, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Ohio's concentration of large academic medical centers and regional health systems means steady, recurring demand rather than sporadic project-based hiring.
Which Ohio cities have the most epic analyst jobs?
Columbus, Shaker Heights, and Newark have the most epic analyst openings in Ohio. Columbus drives the largest share of postings because of the OhioHealth and Ohio State Wexner Medical Center footprints, while Cleveland and Cincinnati reflect the scale of Cleveland Clinic and the TriHealth and UC Health networks, making even suburban facilities in those metros active hiring locations.
Are there remote epic analyst jobs in Ohio?
Yes, and more than many clinical roles, since epic analyst work is largely configuration, documentation, and system support that can be done off-site. About 80% of epic analyst openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how many health systems now support distributed IT teams. Go-live and end-user training assignments are the portions most likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a epic analyst in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a clinical or revenue cycle role, since Ohio health systems like OhioHealth and Cleveland Clinic routinely hire from within, placing nurses, medical coders, and registration staff into junior analyst positions. Look for posted titles like associate epic analyst or application coordinator, which are designed for candidates without full build experience. Completing self-directed Epic training through a credentialed institution and earning even a single module certification before applying gives a clear edge over candidates with no exposure to the platform.
Where can I find and apply to epic analyst jobs in Ohio?
You can find and apply to epic analyst jobs in Ohio on Migrate Mate, which lists current Ohio openings updated regularly. Find the roles that match your module experience and seniority level and apply directly to each one.
