Epic Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a epic analyst in Texas?
The core path into an epic analyst role in Texas starts with earning Epic certification directly from Epic Systems, which is employer-sponsored and requires working with a credentialed organization. Most Texas employers look for candidates with a background in health informatics, clinical operations, or IT, typically at the bachelor's level. New entrants often move into the role from clinical positions, IT support, or healthcare administration roles within Texas health systems that already run Epic.
How much do epic analysts make in Texas?
Epic analysts in Texas earn a median of about $111,530 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $55,480 for the lowest 10% to over $174,300 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire epic analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring epic analysts in Texas right now include Memorial Hermann Health System, CHRISTUS Health, and UTHealth Houston, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large integrated health systems and academic medical centers tend to maintain ongoing needs across multiple Epic modules, making them among the most consistent sources of openings in the state.
Which Texas cities have the most epic analyst jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Irving have the most epic analyst openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its dense concentration of large hospital systems and academic medical centers, while Dallas-Fort Worth's broad healthcare infrastructure and San Antonio's major military and civilian health networks generate consistent demand across implementation, support, and optimization roles.
Are there remote epic analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most healthcare roles. About 43% of epic analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of much of the work. Configuration, reporting, training, and post-live optimization work are the functions most commonly offered remotely, while go-live support and initial implementations are more likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a epic analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a clinical or IT support role into an associate or junior analyst position within a Texas health system that already runs Epic. Large employers like Baylor Scott & White Health and Memorial Hermann periodically hire for application coordinator and support specialist roles that do not require prior Epic certification. Building familiarity with healthcare workflows, completing relevant health informatics coursework, and obtaining a foundational IT credential strengthens an application for these entry-level positions.
Where can I find and apply to epic analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to epic analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and module specialization and apply directly to the employers posting them.
