Executive Management Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a executive management in New York?
Most executive management roles in New York require at least a bachelor's degree in business, management, finance, or a closely related field, with an MBA preferred at senior levels. New York has no state-issued license specific to general executive management, so employers rely on a combination of education, verified leadership experience, and demonstrated results. Many candidates build toward executive roles through progressive advancement within finance, operations, or healthcare administration in New York's established institutions.
How much do executive managements make in New York?
Executive managements in New York earn a median of about $257,980 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $140,410 for the lowest 10% to over $657,630 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire executive managements in New York?
Employers hiring executive managements in New York right now include JPMorganChase, BBVA, and Columbia University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's concentration of corporate headquarters, major hospital systems, and financial institutions means executive management openings appear consistently across a wide range of industries and organization sizes.
Which New York cities have the most executive management jobs?
New York, New York State, and Melville have the most executive management openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its unmatched density of corporate headquarters, financial firms, and media companies, while areas like White Plains and Albany generate steady demand through regional headquarters, state government agencies, and anchor healthcare institutions serving their surrounding communities.
Are there remote executive management jobs in New York?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical or technical fields. About 50% of executive management openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting that many leadership roles require regular in-person presence for team oversight and stakeholder engagement. Strategy, consulting-oriented, and corporate development roles tend to offer the most flexibility for remote or hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a executive management in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an associate manager or management trainee role at a large New York employer, then building toward senior positions from within. Many anchor institutions, including major New York hospital networks, financial services firms, and retail headquarters based in the metro area, run structured management development programs for candidates early in their careers. A strong MBA, a track in operations coordination, or a lateral move from a financial analyst or project lead role can open the door quickly.

You can find and apply to executive management jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find positions that match your experience and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
