We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter’s pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (PF).

The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant. We believe an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs will eliminate the transplant waiting list and cure end-stage organ diseases for which transplant is not currently an option.

Who You Are

As Associate Manager, Corporate Facilities, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring the teams and systems that keep our facilities organization running operate with efficiency, accountability, and excellence. In this role, you’ll lead a team supporting critical functions including CMMS administration, maintenance planning, inventory management, purchasing, reporting, and operational coordination across the enterprise. You’ll translate strategic priorities into clear action plans, balance workloads, remove obstacles, and drive consistent execution while partnering closely with Facilities, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders. The Associate Manager, Corporate Facilities provides day-to-day people leadership and operational coordination for the hourly Corporate Facilities team supporting enterprise facilities programs and systems. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Facilities Programs & Operations, this role translates department priorities into clear work assignments, schedules, workflows, and follow-up while maintaining accountability for timely, accurate, and compliant execution. The Associate Manager directly supervises hourly individual contributors supporting CMMS administration, facilities planning and systems, inventory, purchasing, and related operational support. The role serves as the first-line manager for workload balancing, coaching, performance management, issue escalation, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination, allowing the Associate Director to maintain focus on enterprise program strategy, governance, and organizational priorities.

• Directly supervise, coach, and develop hourly Corporate Facility Team members, including setting daily and weekly priorities, assigning work, monitoring completion, providing feedback, and supporting performance management and career development in alignment with departmental objectives
• Translate priorities established by the Associate Director, Facilities Programs and Operations into practical work plans, schedules, task assignments, and follow-up actions. Ensure clear ownership, due dates, and escalation of barriers and risks.
• Coordinate day-to-day execution across Corporate Facilities support functions, including CMMS administration, facilities planning and scheduling, inventory control, purchasing coordination, documentation, and reporting, while maintaining appropriate role boundaries and established procedures
• Manage team workload and capacity across recurring responsibilities, projects, site requests, and urgent operational needs; rebalance assignments as needed and identify resource constraints or competing priorities for escalation to the Associate Director
• Reinforce standardized processes, documentation practices, data quality expectations, and internal controls for CMMS, maintenance planning, inventory, purchasing, and related Facilities workflows to support reliable execution and audit readiness
• Review work products, reports, trackers, system records, and other team deliverables for timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established expectations; coach team members on recurring gaps and coordinate corrective follow-up
• Serve as the first point of escalation for routine operational issues affecting the hourly Corporate Facilities team, resolving matters within delegated authority and elevating compliance, policy, resource, cross-site, or strategic issues to the Associate Director as appropriate
• Coordinate with Site Facilities, Maintenance, Quality, Validation, Procurement, Finance, Operations, Engineering, R&D, IT/Digital Systems, and vendors to support effective execution of Corporate Facilities activities and timely resolution of day-to-day issues
• Support continuous improvement by helping document current-state workflows, identify recurring process inefficiencies, implement approved improvements, develop practical work instructions or training aids, and sustain changes through coaching and routine performance monitoring
• Provide routine operational updates and decision support to the Associate Director through KPI reporting, workload and backlog visibility, status summaries, risk identification, and recommendations; perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 10+ years of related experience with a H.S. Diploma or 8+ years of related experience with an Associate Degree or 6+ years of related experience with an Bachelor's Degree
• Demonstrated ability to directly supervise hourly or front-line employees, including work assignment, coaching, accountability, and performance follow-up
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple facilities support functions such as CMMS, maintenance planning, inventory, purchasing, documentation, or reporting
• Ability to establish priorities, balance workload, and maintain execution discipline in a fast-paced, multi-site or matrixed environment
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance work management processes sufficient to oversee data quality, work order support, planning, scheduling, and reporting
• Working knowledge of facilities purchasing, vendor coordination, inventory control, and financial or cost tracking processes
• Demonstrated ability to review operational data and work products for accuracy, identify recurring issues, and drive corrective follow-up
• Experience supporting facilities operations in regulated, compliance-driven, manufacturing, laboratory, or similarly controlled environments
• Ability to translate leadership priorities and procedures into clear work instructions, expectations, and practical team workflows
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate effectively with employees, site leaders, cross-functional partners, and vendors
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in facilities management, operations management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, operations management, or a related discipline
• Experience with Planon, Blue Mountain RAM (BM-RAM), SAP, or comparable facilities/enterprise systems
• Experience working in a GMP/GxP-regulated environment, or a similarly regulated industry

Job Location

This role is based 100% onsite at our Silver Spring, MD location.

The salary range for this position is $95,000-135,000/yr and reflects our good-faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs, as well as other factors permitted by law at the time of posting. This range may be modified in the future based on company and market factors.
