Field Marketing Representative Jobs in North Dakota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field marketing representative in North Dakota?
Most North Dakota employers hire field marketing representatives with a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or agricultural sciences, particularly for roles tied to the state's energy and ag sectors. No state-issued license is required for the role itself. Candidates who build experience through internships with North Dakota-based distributors or cooperatives, and who develop familiarity with the state's rural territory dynamics, are consistently preferred over candidates with only classroom backgrounds.
Which companies hire field marketing representatives in North Dakota?
Companies currently hiring field marketing representatives in North Dakota include CVS Health, Anne Carlsen, and Shocker Hitch, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. North Dakota's dominant industries in agriculture, energy distribution, and regional healthcare drive consistent demand for field-based marketing roles at both large regional employers and national brands with local territory offices.
Which North Dakota cities have the most field marketing representative jobs?
Fargo, North Dakota, and Mandan have the most field marketing representative openings in North Dakota. Fargo leads as the state's largest commercial hub, drawing consumer goods and financial services employers, while Bismarck concentrates roles tied to state government contractors, energy companies, and healthcare systems, and Grand Forks supports openings connected to its university presence and regional retail distribution network.
Are there remote field marketing representative jobs in North Dakota?
Yes, but they're rare. Field marketing representative work is inherently territory-based and requires in-person retailer visits, product demonstrations, and relationship building, so most roles require physical presence across a defined North Dakota geography. About 33% of field marketing representative openings tied to North Dakota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the remote-eligible portion concentrated in reporting, campaign planning, and digital coordination functions rather than core field duties.
How can I get hired as a field marketing representative in North Dakota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for brand ambassador or field sales associate roles with North Dakota agricultural cooperatives, regional distributors, or healthcare product companies, which regularly hire people without formal experience. Employers like regional credit unions and farm supply cooperatives often take on candidates from retail or customer service backgrounds. Completing a marketing certificate through North Dakota State University's continuing education program and building a portfolio of any promotional event or sales project strengthens a first application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to field marketing representative jobs in North Dakota?
You can find and apply to field marketing representative jobs in North Dakota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to employers operating across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that fit your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly through each listing without any additional steps required before submitting your application.
