Global Account Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a global account manager in Texas?
The typical path into a global account manager role in Texas starts with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, international business, or a related discipline, followed by several years in B2B sales or account management. Texas does not require a state-issued license for this role. Large Texas-based employers in technology and energy tend to promote from within, so starting in inside sales, account coordination, or sales operations at a Texas firm is a common and well-documented entry route.
How much do global account managers make in Texas?
Global account managers in Texas earn a median of about $61,680 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $33,360 for the lowest 10% to over $127,930 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire global account managers in Texas?
Employers hiring global account managers in Texas right now include Cogent Communications, Amazon Web Services, and JLL, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major energy companies, and enterprise technology campuses means the hiring pool here is consistently broader than in most other states.
Which Texas cities have the most global account manager jobs?
Austin, Houston, and Texas have the most global account manager openings in Texas. Houston's dominance in energy services and international trade drives much of the volume there, while Dallas benefits from a dense cluster of corporate headquarters and enterprise technology firms, and Austin's fast-growing tech sector has added a steady stream of global-facing account roles over the past several years.
Are there remote global account manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 38% of global account manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves digital communication, CRM management, and virtual client meetings rather than fixed on-site duties. The portions of the role most commonly handled remotely are pipeline management, internal reporting, and routine client check-ins, while high-stakes negotiations and new-client onboarding typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a global account manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a sales development representative or account coordinator role at a mid-size or large Texas technology, energy, or logistics company, then transitioning once you have demonstrated client-facing results. Dell Technologies, HP Inc., and several Houston-based energy services firms run structured sales development programs that feed into account management tracks. Building proficiency in Salesforce and earning a recognized sales methodology certification, such as Challenger or SPIN, gives candidates without direct global account experience a concrete edge in Texas hiring processes.
Where can I find and apply to global account manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to global account manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Find the roles that fit your experience and target industry and apply directly from the listing.
