SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has a full-time opening for a High School Social Studies Teacher to teach for our ALC program for the 2026-2027 school year at our Dean Lakes Education Center in Shakopee, MN.

Description:
High School Social Studies Teacher, 1.0 FTE
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate, and evaluate students identified as having a disability. Many of the students exhibit social, emotional, cognitive and/or behavioral needs that require a significant level of support. Job Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications
- Minnesota Teaching License for 6-12 Social Studies
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
- This is a remote teaching position; however, the majority of the work must be performed within the state of Minnesota. The employee will be required to develop a remote work plan that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet this requirement.
Pay & Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $56,000-103,000 based on education and experience.
