Summary
Position provides administrative support with day-to-day operations in the corporate HR shared services center.
Primary responsibilities for role include but are not limited to the following:
- Enters and audits HR transactional data within a centralized HR database and ancillary HR systems. Ensures the information is accurate and adheres to corporate standards
- Assists with data entry into HR systems, retrieving/updating employee files, or preparing reports
- Processes diverse and confidential information requiring extreme accuracy, independent judgment and discretion
- Organizes and maintains employee files
- Processes various forms related to documenting HR activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc
- Provides support for assigned projects and tasks to ensure successful completion
- Troubleshoots technology issues and identifies solutions, partnering with vendors to complete enhancements and communicating within the HR community. Works with IT/vendors/users on resolution and process improvements
- Interacts with HR community to provide data, systems support, and issue resolution
- Ensures data consistency and integrity by owning the development and maintenance of the HR data dictionary, creating and supporting processes to ensure data consistency, performing monthly data audits, identifying and escalating areas for concern, and managing requests for changes to HR data
- Works within the HR function to support government reporting requirements
- Partners with HR functions to apply data and process analysis techniques to identify areas for continuous process improvement
- Acts as primary liaison for HR and, if necessary, to IT for requests for new interfaces or troubleshooting existing data interfaces
- Maintains ownership of HR data processes. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) with internal controls
- Analyzes and approves employee data against submitted requests to ensure data accuracy and processing of aligned actions
- Enters HR transaction data within a centralized HR database and ancillary HR systems. Ensures the information is accurate and adheres to corporate standards
- Audits employee data to ensure system database integrity in compliance with internal control requirements
- Comprehends and monitors system interfaces (Onboarding, SAP, ADP) and informs Supervisor of any deficiencies

- Associate's degree preferably in HR. Typically requires 2 years of HR experience; PHR Certification is preferred
- Knowledge of HR policies, programs, operations and benefits
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word (Pivot table and VLOOKUP is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ADP Enterprise HR data entry is a plus
- Prior experience in SAP (preferred)
- Experience processing payroll or benefits is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and balance workload independently
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through email, chat, and telephone to deal with difficult situations
- Performs data gathering and analysis
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing requests
- Must be a dependable team player with a positive attitude
- Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level typically requires an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience, an equivalent could include 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 30lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.
