Which Nebraska cities have the most insurance jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska lead Nebraska for insurance job openings. Omaha dominates due to its headquarters density, with national carriers and financial holding companies like Mutual of Omaha and Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries anchoring the market, while Lincoln draws openings from state government insurance programs and regional brokerages.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 38% of insurance openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work, particularly underwriting, claims review, and policy administration, can be performed entirely from a home office. Roles requiring in-person client meetings or field inspections remain primarily on-site.
