Insurance Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a insurance job in Dallas?
Dallas hires heavily through its dense cluster of regional carriers, wholesale brokers, and third-party administrators concentrated in Uptown, Las Colinas, and along the North Dallas Tollway. Candidates who hold an active Texas property and casualty or life and health license move to the front of most hiring queues. Familiarity with commercial lines, surplus market placements, or employee benefits gives a real edge in this market, where large corporate headquarters drive sustained demand for experienced insurance professionals.
Which companies hire insurances in Dallas?
Employers hiring insurances in Dallas right now include Lopez Auto Insurance, Freeway Insurance Services America, and Go Rentals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The Dallas market features a mix of national carriers with large regional offices, independent and wholesale brokerage houses, and corporate risk management departments tied to the city's major energy, healthcare, and financial services firms.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though it depends on the role: desk-based functions like underwriting support, policy processing, and claims review are routinely offered remotely, while roles requiring in-person client meetings or physical inspections are almost always on-site. About 62% of insurance openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting broader industry flexibility for back-office and analytical work. Hybrid schedules tied to a Uptown or Las Colinas office are common for mid-level positions.
How can I get a insurance job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is obtaining a Texas Department of Insurance license in property and casualty or life and health before applying, since most local employers treat licensure as a baseline requirement even for junior roles. Dallas-area independent agencies, regional TPAs, and call-center claims operations frequently hire unlicensed candidates into trainee or customer service roles while supporting the licensing process. Bilingual Spanish skills open additional doors given the city's large Spanish-speaking client base.
Which industries hire the most insurances in Dallas?
Dallas insurance roles concentrate in Insurance and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas's role as a regional headquarters hub for energy companies, hospital systems, and large financial institutions creates sustained internal demand for risk management, benefits administration, and commercial lines expertise that keeps these sectors consistently at the top of local hiring activity.
