Insurance Sales Agent Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a insurance sales agent job in Dallas?
The strongest entry point in Dallas is targeting the dense cluster of regional carriers and independent agencies in Uptown and Las Colinas, where life, health, and commercial lines roles turn over most frequently. Candidates who hold a Property and Casualty or Life and Health license before applying move faster through hiring. Experience with employer groups or DFW's large corporate self-insured market gives you a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire insurance sales agents in Dallas?
Companies currently hiring insurance sales agents in Dallas include State Farm, Lopez Auto Insurance, and Distro, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas draws a mix of national carriers with regional headquarters, independent brokerages serving the DFW commercial corridor, and benefits consultancies tied to the city's large employer base.
Are there remote insurance sales agent jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote availability is limited compared to purely desk-based roles, since much of insurance sales depends on in-person client relationships, particularly on the commercial and group benefits side. About 50% of insurance sales agent openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote work most common in inside sales, renewals, and individual life or health lines rather than field or commercial accounts.
How can I get a insurance sales agent job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Dallas is starting as a licensed customer service representative or sales support associate at one of the many captive or independent agencies in Plano, Irving, or the Uptown corridor, then moving into a full sales role after six to twelve months. Dallas's large Medicare and final expense market also hires pre-licensed candidates and funds the licensing process. Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish-English speakers, find faster placement across the DFW metro given the region's demographics.
Which industries hire the most insurance sales agents in Dallas?
Most insurance sales agent openings in Dallas sit in Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas's role as a regional headquarters hub for financial services companies, a major center for healthcare systems, and a growing base for commercial real estate and construction all drive consistent demand for licensed insurance sales professionals across multiple lines.
