In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), data systems, and servers. You will act as both a strategic supervisor—managing IT budgets, hardware lifecycles, and software deployments—and a primary technical resource for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
Core Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain all network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- IT Operations Leadership: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive IT policies, disaster recovery procedures, and regular data backup schedules.
- System Monitoring & Security: Proactively monitor network performance to eliminate bottlenecks and apply security protocols (such as endpoint protection, MFA, and VPN configurations) to safeguard data.
- Vendor & Budget Coordination: Research, negotiate, and manage contracts with technology vendors, internet service providers (ISPs), and external consultants.
- Server Administration: Manage and maintain virtualized environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware), directory services (Active Directory), and cloud infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS).
- Hardware Lifecycle & Inventory: Oversee the procurement, deployment, and documentation of physical IT assets, including servers, desktop PCs, and telecommunication/VoIP systems.
- User Support & Helpdesk Escalation: Manage the internal IT ticketing system, provide advanced tech support, and train employees on network security best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in network administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management-level IT role.
- Networking Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rule configurations.
- Systems Familiarity: Hands-on experience managing Windows/Linux servers, cloud suites (Office 365), and virtualization software.
