INTRODUCTION
Harrison LLP is a national law firm specializing in private wealth planning. The Firm’s services extend to the natural interplay among estate planning, tax controversies, business succession, matrimonial law, and related affinity practices. Founded in 2003, Harrison LLP focuses on providing sophisticated legal advice, exceptional client service, and innovative solutions.
We are seeking a motivated, intellectually curious Family Law – Litigation Associate with 3+ years of family law and litigation experience to join our Atlanta office. We encourage applications from individuals with a passion for family law, a desire to grow, and a commitment to excellence.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Family Law – Litigation Associate at Harrison LLP, you will:
- Assist senior attorneys on a variety of complex family law matters.
- Be actively involved in all stages of litigation, including:
- Drafting and responding to discovery (particularly financial discovery).
- Work on complex custody cases.
- Preparing and filing motions and pleadings.
- Preparing for and attending mediations, court hearings, and trials.
- Help analyze and manage complex financial issues such as income tracing and asset division.
- Learn the procedural landscape of the Fulton County family law division as well as the metro Atlanta counties.
- Work as part of a cohesive team where collaboration and open communication are key.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of family law and litigation experience.
- Active Georgia Bar license and be an attorney in good standing.
- Ability to work in the Firm’s Atlanta office five days a week.
- Reside within a commutable distance to Harrison LLP’s Atlanta office; candidates planning to relocate to Atlanta are welcome to apply.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage courtroom appearances, conduct discovery, and engage directly with clients.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently when needed.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and handle the details.
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Federal Bar admission.
- Experience handling complex financial issues or high net worth clients.
- Solid academic performance from reputable law school.

COMPENSATION
- Target Starting Salary: $175,000+ annually
Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary variable incentive bonus.
