An associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or operations is preferred by larger employers, while entry-level warehouse and coordinator roles often accept a high school diploma with some experience. Industry certifications from APICS, such as the Certified Supply Chain Professional credential, strengthen applications and are recognized by New York employers across industries.
How much do logisticses make in New York?
Logisticses in New York earn a median of about $88,240 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,370 for the lowest 10% to over $136,940 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire logistics professionals in New York?

Which New York cities have the most logistics jobs?
New York, Rochester, and Syracuse have the most logistics openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its port access, dense e-commerce demand, and large retail and food distribution networks, while suburban areas like Long Island and Westchester carry significant volume from regional distribution centers and last-mile delivery hubs serving the greater metro area.
Are there remote logistics jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're limited. About 3% of logistics openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting that most logistics work involves physical inventory, warehouse coordination, or carrier management that requires an on-site presence. The roles most likely to offer remote flexibility are freight brokerage, supply chain analyst, and procurement coordinator positions.

The most realistic entry point is a warehouse associate or shipping and receiving coordinator role, which large New York distribution operators and third-party logistics firms hire for directly without requiring prior experience.
