Supply Chain Consultant Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a supply chain consultant in New York?
Most supply chain consultants in New York start with a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business, then build toward professional certification. New York does not require a state-issued license for this role, but the APICS CSCP or CPIM credential is widely recognized by New York consulting firms and enterprise employers as the benchmark qualification. Many candidates enter through analyst or operations roles at large New York-area manufacturers, retailers, or professional services firms before moving into consulting.
How much do supply chain consultants make in New York?
Supply chain consultants in New York earn a median of about $112,250 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $64,900 for the lowest 10% to over $209,440 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire supply chain consultants in New York?
Employers hiring supply chain consultants in New York right now include Capgemini, Boston Consulting, and EY, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of global financial institutions, consumer goods headquarters, and pharmaceutical companies means consulting demand here is unusually broad.
Which New York cities have the most supply chain consultant jobs?
Atlanta, New York, and Albany account for the most supply chain consultant openings in New York. New York City dominates because it hosts the headquarters and regional offices of the consulting firms, retailers, and financial services companies that generate the largest volume of supply chain engagements, while Buffalo and Albany draw demand from manufacturing, distribution, and state government operations in upstate New York.
Are there remote supply chain consultant jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, since much of the analytical and strategic work involved can be done off-site. About 16% of supply chain consultant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-heavy nature of modeling, reporting, and client advisory work. Implementation phases and client site visits do typically require in-person presence, so fully remote roles tend to focus on strategy and analytics rather than hands-on deployment.
How can I get hired as a supply chain consultant in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an analyst or operations coordinator role at a large New York-area company, then a lateral move into consulting once you have project experience to reference. Major professional services firms with New York offices, including Deloitte and IBM, run associate and analyst programs that accept recent graduates. Adjacent roles in procurement, logistics coordination, or demand planning at consumer goods or pharmaceutical firms in the metro area are also common entry points, especially when paired with an APICS certification or a supply chain-focused master's program at a New York university.
Where can I find and apply to supply chain consultant jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to supply chain consultant jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly from the listing.
