- Are a creative story teller at heart, which shows up in how you write, design, and communicate.
- Are data-minded, with real experience in data analysis, SQL, or statistics as a major plus.
- Can run cross-functional projects and keep stakeholders aligned without any formal authority over them.

Marketing Campaign Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing campaign manager in California?
Most marketing campaign managers in California enter the field with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline. There is no state-issued license or board exam required for this role in California. Employers typically expect a progression from coordinator or specialist roles, and candidates who build demonstrated experience with campaign analytics, paid media, and marketing automation tools are most competitive in California's tech-heavy hiring market.
How much do marketing campaign managers make in California?
Marketing campaign managers in California earn a median of about $193,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,370 for the lowest 10% to over $326,400 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing campaign managers in California?
Employers hiring marketing campaign managers in California right now include NVIDIA, Stripe, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's concentration of technology headquarters, major entertainment studios, and consumer brands means demand is spread across sectors rather than limited to a single industry.
Which California cities have the most marketing campaign manager jobs?
San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Los Angeles have the most marketing campaign manager openings in California. Los Angeles leads because of its density of entertainment companies, direct-to-consumer brands, and advertising agencies, while San Francisco and San Jose benefit from the high volume of B2B technology firms headquartered in the Bay Area that rely heavily on demand generation and product marketing campaigns.
Are there remote marketing campaign manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 29% of marketing campaign manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on strategy, content, and digital platforms rather than physical presence. Campaign planning, performance reporting, and email or paid media management are the functions most likely to be offered fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a marketing campaign manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or marketing specialist role, which large California technology companies and consumer brands use as the starting point for campaign careers. Google, Salesforce, and major Los Angeles entertainment companies run structured rotational or associate marketing programs for new graduates. Building a portfolio of real campaign results, even from freelance, internship, or volunteer projects, and earning a platform certification in Google Ads or HubSpot gives candidates a measurable edge in California interviews.
Where can I find and apply to marketing campaign manager jobs in California?
