ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Director of Creative Media / Football will collaborate in the creation of unique content and branding for the Virginia Tech Football program. This role partners in creating high-impact recruiting visuals and dynamic social media content designed to engage prospective student-athletes and elevate the Virginia Tech Football brand. Collaborating closely with the Director and Senior Director of Football Creative Media, the Assistant Director helps execute a strategic communication plan that enhances recruiting efforts and strengthens the Football program’s digital presence. Will demonstrate appropriate knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations pertaining to recruiting & social media. Will supervise & train creative media student interns. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Creative Media /Football.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience, or a master's degree.
- Experience with Adobe products including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Previous experience working directly in a recruiting department and managing day to day creative materials.
- Experience organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
- Working knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience photographing and/or filming football practices, games, and other events and producing videos through Adobe Premiere Pro and content through Adobe Lightroom.
- Experience in a NCAA Division I Football program.
- Supervisory experience overseeing interns, students, and volunteers with creating recruiting graphics, videos, and creative materials.
