Grow national retail and eCommerce accounts for a portfolio of trusted lawn, garden, home, and outdoor living brands. World Source Partners is hiring a National Account Manager to own key customer relationships, drive sales and margin growth, and expand our presence across retailer websites, marketplaces, and drop-ship programs. If you are a key account or national account sales professional with strong eCommerce experience and a data-driven, tech-forward approach, we want to hear from you.
World Source Partners sources and markets consumer products for lawn, garden, home, and outdoor living. We serve national retailers, regional chains, distributors, hardware cooperatives, and eCommerce customers with brands including Gardman, Harbor Gardens, Terra Verde, Terra Verde Home, and Good Tidings.
About the Role
As National Account Manager, you will own the full commercial relationship for your assigned accounts — sales strategy, revenue and gross margin growth, forecasting, product placement, promotions, line reviews, and execution. You will work directly with our President and Product Director to turn customer and market insight into new products, programs, and placements. This is a high-visibility role for a self-directed seller who is comfortable with technology and uses tools like AI, Excel, and ERP data to sell smarter.
What You'll Do
Account Management & Sales Growth
- Build and execute annual sales plans for national, key, and strategic accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with buyers, category managers, merchants, and eCommerce teams.
- Lead line reviews, business reviews, seasonal presentations, and customer planning meetings.
- Negotiate programs, promotions, and terms; partner with manufacturer sales rep agencies to maximize results.
- Prospect and win new national, regional, distributor, and eCommerce customers.
eCommerce & Digital Sales
- Grow online sales across retailer websites, marketplaces, and drop-ship programs.
- Improve product content, item setup, images, attributes, pricing, availability, and conversion.
- Analyze online performance, assortment gaps, competitive pricing, and customer behavior to find growth.
- Understand how freight, fulfillment, pricing, and promotions affect eCommerce profitability.
Forecasting, Product & Execution
- Build accurate customer- and item-level sales forecasts for new items, promotions, and new customers.
- Partner with Purchasing to align inventory with demand and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
- Share customer insight with the Product Director on assortment, pricing, packaging, and new product opportunities.
- Work with Customer Service and Operations to ensure accurate, on-time orders and resolve issues quickly.
Financial Performance & Technology
- Deliver sales, gross margin, and profitability goals; track results vs. budget, forecast, and prior year.
- Understand full account economics — freight, allowances, commissions, chargebacks, and returns.
- Use AI tools, ERP systems, retailer portals, and Excel to improve account planning, analysis, and presentations.
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of national account, key account, or strategic account sales experience.
- Proven experience managing and growing eCommerce accounts and digital sales channels.
- Experience working with manufacturer representative agencies and multi-channel distribution.
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, formulas, sales analysis) and strong PowerPoint skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Solid financial acumen — sales, gross margin, profitability, and account economics.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to use AI tools to work more efficiently.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Experience selling to national retailers, regional chains, hardware co-ops, distributors, or marketplaces.
- Lawn & garden, home, outdoor living, hardware, or consumer products industry experience.
- Experience with ERP systems, retailer vendor portals, and drop-ship programs.
