Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
Triages patient telephone calls as needed, providing consultation.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Master of Science degree in Nursing with current Advance Practice Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska required. Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or other related specialty area preferred. A minimum of one (1) year advanced practice experience preferred. Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required.
OR
Graduate degree from a Physician’s Assistant program required. Current licensure as a Physician Assistant required. Completion of Bryan credentialing and re-credentialing process required for employment. A minimum of one (1) year advanced practice experience preferred. Certification with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for prescriptive authority required.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required within one year of hire.
