Operations Jobs in Queens: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations job in Queens?
Focus your search on Queens' logistics hubs near JFK and Long Island City, where warehousing, freight, and supply chain roles are consistently in demand, and on the healthcare systems and food distribution networks centered in Jamaica and Flushing. Candidates who demonstrate experience coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, or overseeing inventory systems stand out most in Queens' high-volume, fast-moving operations environments.
Which companies hire operationss in Queens?
Employers hiring operationss in Queens right now include Yeshiva University, Zeta Charter Schools, and Motivate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Queens draws a wide range of employer types, from major airlines and cargo carriers at JFK to hospital networks, food manufacturers, and large-scale e-commerce fulfillment centers distributed across the borough.
Are there remote operations jobs in Queens?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role, since hands-on operations positions tied to warehouses, logistics facilities, or hospital floors are almost always on-site. About 26% of operations openings tied to Queens are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and the roles most likely to offer flexibility are those in analytics, vendor management, and business operations coordination rather than floor or facilities management.
How can I get a operations job in Queens with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Queens is through logistics coordinator or operations associate roles at the freight and cargo companies near JFK, where high turnover creates consistent openings for candidates without extensive backgrounds. Large healthcare systems like NYC Health and Hospitals also hire entry-level operations support staff across their Queens facilities. Building familiarity with inventory software, scheduling tools, or basic supply chain concepts significantly strengthens your application with local employers.
