Job Overview

As an Operations Manager, you’ll keep daily retail operations moving smoothly while building a capable, customer-focused team. You’ll coordinate staffing, sales, inventory, purchasing, payroll, and store procedures, balancing immediate priorities with clear communication and sound decisions. Your impact: Effective operations and attentive service help customers find the products they need while enabling employees to do their best work.

Duties

• Lead and supervise employees, including recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training and development, and shift management.
• Oversee retail sales and sales management, customer service, cashiering, cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and pricing.
• Manage inventory control, stocking, merchandising, product knowledge, purchasing, and bookkeeping.
• Support payroll, budgeting, basic math and retail math, and operational reporting.
• Resolve customer and team concerns using negotiation, managerial communication, and professional phone etiquette.

Requirements

• Experience in operations management, retail management, store management, or operational management; assistant manager experience is valuable.
• Supervising experience and team management skills; retail industry sales team management experience and grocery store experience are preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, retail sales, sales management, pricing, and cash handling.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills, with comfort using math and bookkeeping practices.
• Recruiting, interviewing, and employee orientation experience are helpful. Bilingual or multilingual abilities and additional retail store product knowledge are preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
