Established, busy medical practice in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our team full time. Immediate opening available.
We are a busy primary care and specialty practice caring for both adults and children. We are looking for a dependable, experienced Medical Assistant who is experienced drawing blood and enjoys working directly with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform phlebotomy/blood draws and handle lab specimens
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Perform EKGs and other basic clinical testing
- Prepare and room patients for providers
- Assist physicians and specialists with patient care
- Assist with treatment plans and patient forms
- Help maintain smooth and efficient patient flow
- Assist with clinical supplies and other medical office responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy/blood-draw experience preferred
- Must be comfortable drawing blood independently
- Comfortable caring for patients of all ages
- Must enjoy working with children
- Able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced medical practice
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work well with physicians, specialists, and other members of the medical team
