Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Abilene, TX (Direct Hire)
Role Overview:
This position reports to the Production Manager and oversees production employees on assigned lines. The supervisor will be responsible for safety, quality, production schedules, manpower, GMP compliance, and overall shift efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead production employees, preferably 20+ team members
- Ensure daily/weekly production schedules and targets are met
- Monitor product quality and work closely with the QA team
- Monitor product codes and code dates during production and packaging
- Enforce safety rules and coach employees on safe work practices
- Maintain GMP standards and a clean production environment
- Manage manpower requirements and employee assignments across production lines
- Train employees on different positions and rotate employees as needed
- Understand operation, adjustment, and minor troubleshooting of production equipment
- Respond appropriately to equipment failures and safety concerns
- Monitor and control waste, overweight, and downtime to improve shift efficiency
- Support a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 3–5 years of production supervisory experience
- Experience supervising 20+ employees preferred
- Bakery or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong team leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience with production/packaging operations
- Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, email, SAP or similar systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines
- Strong sense of urgency, dependability, and initiative
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
