Program Supervisor Jobs in Wyoming: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a program supervisor in Wyoming?
Most program supervisor roles in Wyoming require a bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, or public administration, combined with direct service experience in the field you plan to oversee. Roles in behavioral health settings may require a Wyoming Licensed Professional Counselor Associate credential or alignment with Wyoming Board of Mental Health Professions standards, depending on the program. Candidates who have supervised staff or managed caseloads in a nonprofit or state agency are positioned most competitively.
Which companies hire program supervisors in Wyoming?
Wyoming program supervisor roles are posted by State of Wyoming, US Department of Veterans Affairs, and Denver Mattress and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wyoming's hiring is concentrated in state agencies, behavioral health nonprofits, and workforce development organizations with long-standing program contracts across the state.
Which Wyoming cities have the most program supervisor jobs?
Cheyenne, Casper, and Gillette have the most program supervisor openings in Wyoming. Cheyenne drives volume as the state capital and home to major Wyoming Department of Health and DHHS administrative offices, while Casper anchors central Wyoming's nonprofit and healthcare sectors and Laramie reflects demand tied to the University of Wyoming and affiliated human services programs.
Are there remote program supervisor jobs in Wyoming?
Yes, but they're rare. Program supervisor roles typically involve direct oversight of staff, facilities, or client services that require an on-site presence. About 8% of program supervisor openings tied to Wyoming are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be in grants management, data quality oversight, or statewide program coordination roles that don't require daily facility presence.
How can I get hired as a program supervisor in Wyoming with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a direct service or lead worker role within a Wyoming nonprofit or state agency. Organizations like Volunteers of America Wyoming, Central Wyoming Counseling Center, and Wyoming Department of Family Services regularly hire case managers, residential counselors, and program coordinators who advance into supervisory positions. Building toward a Wyoming-aligned credential such as a Licensed Social Worker designation strengthens candidacy, as does experience managing a small caseload or leading a team during a supervisor's absence.
Where can I find and apply to program supervisor jobs in Wyoming?
You can find and apply to program supervisor jobs in Wyoming on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from Wyoming employers. Search for roles that match your experience level and specialty area, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
